"...the size of the Home - about twenty residents - along with the small number of long serving locally based staff mean that my Mother is being cared for personally by people local to Disley, who have a deep understanding of the needs of elderly and frail people. Their warmth and friendliness has made all the difference to her. I would recommend Inglewood to anybody without reservation." Dr Kenneth Greenhalgh.

At Inglewood Residential Care Home residents enjoy a homely atmosphere within a family environment. We encourage them to live their lives as they wish, enjoying the independence of which they are capable, whilst receiving the support that they may need. Family and friends are welcome to visit at any time and refreshments are always freely available.

Residents are looked after in a safe, caring environment, where all our staff are specifically trained to be able to manage the changing needs of our residents. We maintain a warm, homely and non-institutional environment where our residents can relax in their own private bedrooms or participate in the social activities on offer.

Our cooks produce fresh, home cooked, nutritious meals which are visually appealing and colourful. This encourages residents to maintain good nutrition and participate in the very social activity of enjoying food. Our activities coordinator and care staff provide or procure stimulating individual and group activities which, combined with good nutrition and hydration, promotes well-being and contentment.

We aim to enable residents living with dementia to enjoy each day as fully as possible. The different types of dementia are well understood by our care staff. Whether experiencing memory loss, communication difficulties, behavioural changes or other symptoms, we gently accompany our residents on their journey whilst being encouraging, supportive and reassuring.

Beautifully situated, adjacent to Lyme Park...

Inglewood is a beautiful Victorian house, retaining many original features; and is quietly located next to Lyme Park, owned by the National Trust. We are only five minutes drive from Disley village. We have been able to enhance the older parts of the building over the years and have added a purpose built extension. Although we are pleasantly situated in a quiet lane, we are seconds from the main A6 road and bus stops to both Stockport and Buxton. There is a train station in Disley.

Inglewood is registered with the National Care Association, the Care Quality Commission and Cheshire Social Services, and has built an excellent reputation over 30+ years of private ownership. You are welcome to call in or contact our friendly team regarding room availability and our waiting list.

We look forward to welcoming you to Inglewood,

Lynne and Jim Barton and the team.
