Our care services
Living with dementia can be challenging for both the individual and their loved ones. At Inglewood we offer sensitivity, compassion, support and assistance to individuals who are experiencing cognitive changes. Carers are knowledgeable about the different types and stages of dementia and the associated symptoms. They provide residents’ and their loved ones with guidance and support throughout. Dementia affects each person differently and can manifest in various ways, including memory loss, communication difficulties, and changes in behaviour. Carers know it is particularly crucial to be patient, understanding, and empathetic towards individuals with dementia, as they may become confused or agitated. We work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that the best possible medical care and treatment is available. Innovative care planning software allows us to deliver quality, individual care safely and consistently. Care planning is thorough, with data inputted and accessed digitally, so that information is comprehensive, informative, and immediately accessible. We can monitor and audit data efficiently, to ensure that necessary adjustments are implemented swiftly.
The care of individuals who are living with dementia requires a comprehensive approach that considers their unique needs and preferences. Our focus on person centred care and the interaction between staff and residents fosters friendship and trust. Activities and social interaction can help maintain cognitive abilities and provide a sense of purpose and fulfilment. The provision of a safe and comfortable environment that promotes well-being is paramount. Our staff do not wear uniforms, which contributes to the homely atmosphere and promotes a sense of familiarity, informality, safety and security.
Inglewood is registered as a Residential Care Home which can also provide specialist Dementia care. Residents are offered care and support in a residential setting. They are encouraged to live their lives as they wish, enjoying the independence of which they are capable, whilst receiving the support that they may need. We strive to deliver person centred care of the best quality, ensuring compliance with the Care Home Regulation Act and the Care Standards Act 2014.
